No one wins on Valentine’s Day, especially events promoters. Market a night as an all-out schmoozefest and you alienate the singletons; promote it as an anti-Valentine’s Day event and you risk appearing bitter, akin to a girl that z clicks while bawling: “I don’t need no man”. Thankfully, there are some events that don’t fall either side if this precipice, and Planet Angel’s Valentine’s Ball is one of them. It’s a party, end of story, and one that’s been gaining a large underground for almost 15 years. This Saturday, expect giant Jenga, Lego, free UV face painting and three rooms of the best high-energy tunes. But ssshh, the location’s a secret.
