Beatboxers do awfully well in the UK; win a beatboxing contest and it’s like you’ve been given the key to some sort of golden path to stardom. Just look at Beardyman. 2009 and 2010 champ (and previous le cool interviewee) Reeps One (aka Harry Yeff) appears to be hurtling down the exact same trajectory, with his week-long debut solo exhibition being held at one of east London’s most exciting artistic venues: the LondoNewcastle Project Space. In it, Reeps will flex his vocal muscles and showcase his audio and visual vocal experience, with March 22^nd a ‘Day of Games’, where visitors can watch and try out an assortment of off-the-wall activities, including body painting, pitch-black performances and the chance to win pieces of original art (not only is Reeps an insane beatboxer, he’s an artist too).
