Lazarides first solo show of the New Year will play host to Californian artist, Sage Vaughn with his latest exhibition Nobody’s Home. Featuring heavily are the colourful birds and butterflies synonymous to Vaughn’s work, in which he explores the physical and abstract associations of the phrase ‘Nobody’s Home’. The exhibition challenges viewers to break free from their lives of routine acceptance of domestic and public surroundings, taking time to ingest the sheer beauty that nature has to offer. An advocate for RVCA, Sage’s previous work includes cover art for rock and roll luminaries Red Hot Chili Peppers and more recently an exhibition at MOCA LA, curated by Beastie Boys founder member and Vaughn’s childhood hero, Mike D.
