Slay In Your Lane, published earlier this year, has been described as the ‘black girl bible’. It’s a self-help-guide full of encouragement and wisdom, voicing the lived experiences of black women in Britain today. While writing the book authors Yomi Adegoke and Elizabeth Uviebinené interviewed dozens of successful, brilliant black women in Britain – Denise Lewis, Malorie Blackman, Clara Amfo and Estelle to name a few. This event (part of London Literature Festival) is a chance to catch the South London authors talking about their celebrated book and sharing their own stories. Candid, inspiring, moving, thriving. Elsewhere at the festival so much great stuff – author appearances, live readings, debates, workshops and poetry.
