Somerset House Studios celebrates its two year anniversary with an
artist takeover. The community of artists and makers come from a
variety of disciplines, so expect a sensorial journey across the three
floors. With a bent towards critical discourse, subversion and a
celebration of counterculture, the studio has incubated 300+ artists
since its inception.
They’ll be many chances to dance. Resis’dance will bring their womenand non-binary collective with Mica Coca, PhoebeD and GIN. Hyperdub founder Kode9 will be sure to bring bass-heavy vibrations, with DJ Beatrice Dillon and a performance from Hannah Perry of GUSH. New label Cotch International will present a range of raw globally flavoured DJs. Watch DOUBLETHINK, a new video installation from Iain Forsyth an Jane Pollard. Grooves in the basement will be provided by residents Jacob Samuel, hmurd and Brood Ma. Finally, access is also included to TBCTV, a new TV studio work from Mel Brimfield, Ewan Jones Morris and Chloe Lamford.
This arty party is stacked and we can’t wait.
