Produced and acted by The New Match Collective, an international all female company that celebrate diversity in the arts. Their latest production Swipe is obviously inspired by Tinder, but also reflects the modern experience of love, life and technology, and what happens when they all intersect. Through a series of vignettes of different women’s lives, the audience is taken through the experiences of modern world of dating. Is there someone better out there only one click away? Can love be built through digital communication, or is old fashioned meeting in the pub the best way? How does the portrayal of yourself in an online dating profile match who you feel you really are? And what role does a selfie play?
Part of Camden Fringe, the annual festivity of theatre, performance and comedy and taking place at the Hen & Chicken’s Theatre in Islington, a pub with plenty of heritage of sharing new and upcoming theatre, it’s enjoyable, wholly relatable and real.
