The only thing missing from Shoreditch’s Tokyo Nights market is a group of sloshed Japanese businessmen harassing the female waiting staff. However, as they are not responding to my emails, a night of sake tasting and techno is definitely the next best thing.
Renowned DJ Richie Hawtin will be in place to celebrate the UK launch of his boutique sake line, bringing the vibes of his Ibiza-based ENTER nights to a slightly less balmy November night in Shoreditch. The guy seems to know his shit – the Japanese Sake Brewers association made him a bloody Sake Samurai of all things in 2014. Who are you to argue with a samurai? Also on the menu: gyozas, Patty and Bun and hopefully no Christmas tunes.
