Visiting the Natural History Museum never seems to get boring. As a life-long Londoner I’ve been through its hallowed doors countless times, and yet the sight of Dippy the Diplodocus never ceases to induce a sharp intake of breath. This week they’re celebrating the research work of the UK’s leading science departments with Universities Week. You’ll have the chance to explore if there’s water on the moon, find out what happens when a volcano blows its top, as well as discuss deeper, more controversial cultural questions such as ‘foreignness in an age of expansion’. Mind-altering stuff at every turn, and it’s all free to boot.
