Looking for ideas way beyond Botox and butt-lifts I canvassed opinions on what futuristic human enhancements people would choose. I got an interesting range of answers from the weird, ‘birds claw for a hand’, to the useful ‘headphone implants’, ‘hologram projecting eyes’, or ‘metabolism management implant’, through to the perverted ‘velvet palm’. The potential for personal upgrades may not be as far out as we imagine and a visit to You Have Been Upgraded at the Science Museum, in collaboration with Unlimited Theatre, will allow you to explore the possibilities. The exhibition is presented by an “ambitious new mega-company”, Unlimited Enhancement Technologies (UNET), who will give you access to their employees and see if that life changing enhancement is a real possibility or even ethical.
