I can only imagine what it must have been like to witness NASA’s pursuit of the moon during the 60s – an age of discovery, disaster and determination where anything seemed possible. It’s breathtaking stuff, but fortunately space has re-entered public imagination with rovers on Mars, new nations launching their own programmes and private companies starting to make space tourism a reality. With over 100 rare and vintage photographs from 1964-83, For All Mankind offers a perspective into the early days of the agency’s exploration, from Gemini to the Space Shuttle and pretty much everything in between. With iconic photos such as the first ever full-view of Earth, views of Mars and Jupiter from the Viking and Voyager probes, it really is an exhibition that is, ahem, out of this world.
