Wine Wednesdays? For the uninitiated, this may sound like something to lament on a Thursday morning as you try and fail to brush a hangover out of your mouth. But let’s go with the belief that good wine gives you the high and not the low, in which case, A Grape Night In’s pop-up wine bar is exactly where you should be midweek imbibing. Setting up camp at Cornercopia in Brixton Village, they are coaxing in summer wanderlust with a series of wine tastings exploring different destinations from Tokyo to Bondi beach, serving wines from lesser-known grapes and regions that represent the character of the place. Tonight they’re heading to the cities: Tokyo, Dubai, and New York in a glass. The tasting experience includes a wine flight paired with dishes from resident chef, The Cheshire Cat, as well as a welcome cocktail. For those of you who are off-the-cuff, drop by and order from the menu. Even if you do feel a little ropey the next day, you likely won’t regret it.
