Wok+Wine is an interesting event concept, designed as a ‘serendipity machine’ for inspiring people to engage in a novel way. Since its NYC birth, the event has spread its wings, and been described (rather grandly) as ‘a global experiment in social chemistry’ by Harvard Business Review. The formula? Bring a random bunch of people together around a communal table to sip wine, tuck into piles of tasty jumbo shrimp al ajillo tipped from a huge steaming wok, and make new connections.
