We Brits understand the reverence that a good cup of tea deserves. So what should one do when supping on a superior hot drop? Buy a bow tie of course. There’s nothing that says true bone-china-pinging, pinky-extending English eccentricity like the styling-out of a fine bow tie. And so it seems only logical that these two icons of good-manners come together for a heady meet. This Saturday, for one day only, a bow tie shop will be popping up at Brick Lane’s finest purveyor of cuppas, Hawkhurst Vault. Wool and Water is a boutique knitwear label based in Amsterdam and launched last year by Alice O’Connell. She prides herself on sourcing the finest of fibres and combining the traditional craft of knitting with a contemporary aesthetic. Come down and check out her wares. Do your bit to keep the finest traditions of dapperness alive.
