Hey Sofia, how are things with you?
Hi Josh, I am very good, thanks – always drawing and dreaming about the next step.
When the weather gets like it is right now do you ever regret leaving Porto for soggy London?
London is amazing, it’s always in movement, everyday you see something you’re not expecting, it’s a big inspiration, but yes sometimes I do miss the hot days, especially when I see that my friends are having a beer by the beach and I’m carrying an umbrella around.
But I don“t regret being in here, London is helping me grow.
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
I’m a bit obsessive with patterns! I get almost hypnotized when I’m drawing them, it’s a way of clearing my head and let my hand be in control of the work.
Lines seem to feature very strongly in a lot of your work – why is that?
Yes, it’s true. Perhaps because I have always been attracted to the idea of the abstract, of heart-driven shapes that led people to their own introspective interpretations.
What do you prefer to have while you work – tea, coffee or tequila?
Definitely tea, in that aspect I am very English. I prefer tequila when I’m out partying…
Where can we see more of your work?
You can find my work here on my website or Facebook.
