Found yourself in Deptford? This is a superb pub to visit.
The Brookmill has undergone a long refurbishment, but it has been entirely worth it. You will want it to be your local instantly. The food is fantastic – try the scallop tartare with roasted macadamias, light and delicious. But the absolute star for us was the scotch egg, hands down the best we’ve ver had – and we’ve had many. There’s also a great range of beer, most of which are from local breweries. It shows this place has made an effort to source a variety or organic and natural wines.

The space itself is equally impressive. With a tiny snug under the stairs, perfect for small private parties, a fantastic space upstairs where they plan to screen films and host live music events, this pub is going to fit the bill during the winter (yes, winter is coming) too. Definitely have a sticky beak outside while it can still be enjoyed fully, though. The beer garden is spacious and good looking, perfect to while away a warm day in. We feel the love that has gone into creating this place.
