I know a secret. It’s a really good one too. Come a little closer kids and I will tell all. In a magical land, far, far away (Shoreditch) where girls and boys in fur coats and unnecessary spectacles come out to play (hipsters), there lies in the underbelly of the Great Eastern Dining Rooms a newly opened den of wonderment (Glo Glo’s). The latest venture from renowned restaurateur Will Ricker, Glo Glo’s is a grey and red lesson in the art of super chic drinking. The Japanese inspired cocktail lounge boasts amazingly attentive service, sumptuous surroundings, well made and rather strong drinks with surprising twists and small plates of exquisite grilled fare. Once nestled into one of their corner booths, you must try the Yokahama Sour, a frothy vodka riddled blighter with fine shreds of ginger for a kick up the bottom, their sweet edged version of a Bloody Mary and the wasabi tiger prawns. Wasabi tiger prawns, need I add to that? Glo Glo’s… yes please! / Rosa Kaftan
