Green Rooms is an arts-led hotel that has found that teeter-totter balance between regeneration and gentrification. Located in N22, the social enterprise is a 20-room art stay for local and visiting creatives with affordable accommodation, the cheapest at just £18 a night, that doesn’t fall short on taste. Think: cool white whites and stripped back wooden floors bathed in morning sunlight. A former 1920s showroom for electrical goods, the Wood Green building is today a place for practice, rehearsal and collaboration. Keeping inspiration alive and creatives fuelled, a 6-month chef residency programme champions London’s hottest cooks in its ground floor Hoxton Hotel-type restaurant. Oh – and there are no televisions, radios or landlines. This is truly a space for undisrupted creativity.
