A swish New York style lounge hotel in the heart of Shepherd’s Bush, the K West ushers guests away from the bustle of West London and into a foyer full of musical lineage. The sleek front was once an old BBC building visited by Bob Marley. Today, characterful and comfortable rooms provide a place of calm for guests, a bliss that continues in the Wet Spa, where a hydrotherapy pool, Scandi style saunas and a Snow Paradise – London’s first snow room – make for a good night in. In fact, the £10 evening rate, makes it that much cooler. But if you’re looking to get your heart-rate up, a very quick walk will take you to Westfield London packed with treats galore. Come morning, a lip-smacking menu of indulgent and uber healthy breakfast plates satiates even the fussiest tummies. If you have trouble deciding, order two mains and share the pancakes. (We did). K West Hotel & Spa definitely offers up a staycation to remember.
