Put this one on your list right now. Following closely after their Oklava success, Selin Kiazim and Laura Christie have gone and done it again with the opening of beautifully concepted Kyseri, A little hop from the Goodge Street eatery enclave, it is named for the Turkish region from which it finds culinary inspiration. And it is excellent. High on your must-try list should be the manti – a kind of stuffed pasta packed with spiced beef and sour cherries and decorated with tomatoey yogurt and pine nuts. We could not get enough of those along with the Cypriot hellim loaf and my god, the katmer (a pancake like dessert put together right in front of you) was so incred, we watched one woman down the whole thing to herself. The wine list features surprising vintages from the region that pair perfectly with Kiasim’s subtly complex food and flavours. We get the feeling this is the kind of place that’s going to become hard to get a table, so book in soon.
