The brains behind Bar 90 are back with an aptly named Bar 177. It’s a cool vibe, with the venue boasting a distressed warehouse kinda decor, local art, a small cocktail menu, a burger menu, and relentless house and techno from the minute you walk in. We had the vegan burgers which were fine, but we were more excited by the expansive options when it came to fries. Plumping for courgette with tzatziki, sweet potato with pomegranate and cassava with a dip comprised of oily jalapeño-y goodness, we were suitably satisfied. The back room houses the DJ, and a good size dance floor if your night takes that turn. Oh and there’s a photo booth. A good little addition to Hoxton Street, as long as a convo between mates isn’t really what you’re after.
