Santo Remedio, the authentic Mexican restaurant in London Bridge is now doing Sunday brunch, and we are most definitely here for it.
From husband and wife team Edson and Natalie Diaz-Fuentes, the new menu is inspired by the couple’s favourite regional brunch dishes from across Mexico. Set to a backdrop of live Mariachi music we kick things off with some delicious cocktails – Mexican Mimosas and Coconut Margaritas (a must try even if you’re not mad on Margaritas).
After starting with the Oaxacan Tetela, a corn parcel filled with black beans, mole negro and cheese, the winner of the bigger plates is the Drowned & Divorced Eggs. The most flavoursome of all the food we try, this creation features sunny fried eggs drowned in Salsa Verde and Salsa Roja with Cotija cheese, served with toasted Sourdough from St. John Bakery to mop it all up.
As well as the bread, St. John are also providing the doughnuts, and the dulce de leche filling is the perfect end to a great brunch.
